I thought carrot said this for some reason…
He does say it on several occasions both in Jingo and Men at Arms, but the first time it was said in the series it was said by Granny Weatherwax. It was a bit of a throwaway line in Lords and Ladies though, and wasn’t really dwelt upon until it was adopted by Carrot.
